She's Here!!!!!

LYDIA KATE LOWARY!!

This is the onesie that Blayne tie-died for her- I think it's super cute, and who cares if it makes her look like a boy- hahaha! Can ya tell Blayne's a duck fan?

There we go, some pink socks to show she's a girl!

I'm lookin pretty hot- hahaha, yeah right!

Ava LOVES giving her kisses! She also says "Hey little guy" whenever we're holding her- it doesn't matter how many times we try to tell her she's a girl, she just says "no, it's a boy".

This is what it was like both times Ava came to the hospital, she just climbed all over me the whole time, I'll bet you can imagine how comfortable that was. It's ok though, that was the longest I had ever been away from her and I missed her like crazy!!! I almost cried the last day we were at the hospital waiting to be discharged because I missed her so much.
Ok, so here's the story. I was scheduled to be induced Friday morning (not because there was anything wrong, I just wanted to be). Blayne's parents got here Wednesday afternoon- thank goodness! That evening I started having regular contractions, they weren't horrible, but they were consistantly coming every 2 minutes, so I went to the hospital at about 7:30. Blayne left work and met us there. Well, on the way the contractions pretty much stopped, but we were already on the way so we went ahead and went. Needless to say, they sent me home at about 10:30, I was only dilated to about a 3 and after walking around the hospital for 45 minutes there was no change. I was SO embarassed I told Blayne that I was NOT going back until my induction. Well, I woke up at about 1:45 in the morning having REALLY bad contractions. I was trying SO hard to be silent since I wasn't sure it was the real thing and I didn't want to wake up Blayne since he had to work in the morning. After about 2 hours Blayne was awake (I wasn't totally successful at being silent- but considering the pain, I was still pretty quiet), so we went ahead and went. We were both worried that they were just going to send me home again, but when they checked at about 4ish- I was at a 6. So they moved me to my room and gave me the drugs- YAY!!!!! Man, I was HAPPY to have those!!! Well, until they wore off at the end, a little before it was time to start pushing- awesome- oh wait, that SUCKED!!!! I could feel EVERYTHING!!! After a couple pushes she was out at 8:53 Thursday morning- 7lbs. 4oz- 20 in. long. She is such an amazing baby!!! She just wants to sleep all the time- except for like an hour and a half at night when she gets a little fussy because all we want is for her to sleep, and she's not really interested. I thought it would be a LOT harder than this, I know I'm only a couple days in, but she's just great!!! Ava's been really good too, she loves her SO much!

Very Favorite Picture

OK, I know I suck and haven't posted anything in like forever and now I'm only posting one picture, but I think it's cute enough to stand alone. I have a bunch of other pictures that need to be put up, but I'm just too dang lazy, it doesn't help that I'm HUGE pregnant and am tired all the time so anything that takes the littlest amount of energy is just too much for me- sorry about it!! So, to explain the picture- I was having a REALLY bad day that day, Ava peed her pants 3 times, so I wasn't happy at all. When she has accidents I don't let her wear dresses, she has to wear shorts or pants, and it makes her pretty upset, well this day she decided to take her nightgown and wear it around her waste, and then kept telling me that she was wearing a "Beautiful princess dress", this was her posing for the camera. I probably should have taken it away as part of the punishment, but she just looked so darn cute!

About time for an update...

So we had a small baby shower for me and my friend Stacey that lives in our apartment complex, she's from Australia and has a little girl Ava's age that has an accent, it's SO cute! My friend Susanne made this cake for the shower, she couldn't come but we were really happy that she made us a cake, it was yummy!
This is Amy, Gretchen, and Tara. Gretchen and Tara are both in our play group that gets together all the time, we have a LOT of fun!
This is Jeanette, Dez, and Harmony. Jeanette is my Visiting Teacher and Dez and Harmony are in our play group too. We're REALLY sad because Harmony is moving back to Canada in about a month :( that will be a really sad day, we'll miss her a LOT!
And of course, the preggos- me and Stacey.
Here is my HUGE belly at about 33 weeks. Man I'm SO sick of feeling like a cow ALL the time!! Just a little longer, I can't wait to NOT be pregnant anymore!! Although, I'm terrified of having another baby, it'll be such a big change. Still no name for this little girl, and no end in sight. We aren't even close to getting one, it's SO frustrating, hopefully she'll have a name by the time she's born, but I have my doubts.
Ava wanted to pose with me. I don't know if you can really tell in this picture, but we cut about 4 inches of curl off her hair. I was glad that she still has a little curl left, hopefully she'll always have it, but probably not :( It makes me so sad to think about, I love her curls.

Ava Goofiness

So I just thought that I would quickly share a conversation that I had with Ava today, because well, I thought it was pretty dang funny. To give some background, I had made Ava a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, which she usually really likes, but for some reason today she didn't. So she wouldn't eat it and she was wanting to eat my pb&j sandwich, I told her no because she needed to eat her sandwich. This is the conversation we had several hours later.

Me: Hey Ava, will you please sing me a song?

Ava: Nope

Me: Why not??

Ava: You didn't eat your jelly sandwich

Me: (laughing)

Ava: You gonna cry?

Me: No, I'm not going to cry

Ava: (Loud fart on my leg)

What a silly girl, she is cracking me up lately, she has such a great little personality.

BIG Post!

Ava's been getting MUCH better at posing for pictures. Here are a couple of her best ones, check out that smile- hahaha!!
We've been doing some finger painting lately, Ava loves it!! It's a dream for me, I thought it would be a MESS, but my prissy little girl is really clean about it. She has me wipe her fingers in between colors, and she's never gotten ANY on her clothes, it's great!

This is a headband that her aunt Kallie made her when we went to Utah, I got her to wear it a couple times, doesn't she look adorable?!

Just a couple more of her finger painting.
So we went to a place called Fairytale Town with our play group. It was SO much fun and the weather was AMAZING!!! This is Ava sitting on a bench while ALL of the other kids went down this big slide, she was not interested at all. She's quite the little wuss (I have NO idea where she gets that, ok, probably from me). She doesn't even really climb on all of the play equipment when we go to the park because she starts to like hyperventilate and freak out. It cracks me up to see all the kids that are younger than her and fearless going down the slide by themselves and Ava won't even climb up to them, hahaha, gotta love her.
She was climbing all over this candlestick with her friend Zeke, she loves him, it's awesome!

Here are a bunch of the kids from our group, don't they look fun?!
Ava was riding on the pumpkin carriage, Zeke wanted to get up to, it was pretty cute.
Well, things around here have been pretty crazy. Blayne has been working constantly, but luckily we've had good friends to play with and that will come get us so we don't go nuts in our apartment. Ava now refuses to wear pants and shorts, she will ONLY wear dresses and skirts, she's SO girly! She loves to play dress up too. I've been feeling pretty good, but not always getting enough sleep, there's this baby kicking me constantly, which makes it difficult. Blayne and I are having an IMPOSSIBLE time picking out a name, we're both being REALLY stubborn, it's awful. I'm really scared that this little girl won't have a name when she's born. I know I'm a little panicky, but if you only knew the battle of the names that has been going on here, you'd understand. If you have any name suggestions, please let me know, we've really got like nothing. Well, it's almost time to cook dinner, so I gotta go!

New Pics

I LOVE the above picture, I think Ava looks SOOO cute!!! Blayne looks great too, I'm just mad because I cut off the top of his head in the picture- whatever, I'm not a photographer OK?!
So, here I am at about 21 weeks! I'm totally poking out, I was definitely NOT showing this much with Ava at this point.

We were just trying to get some cute pics before church. In almost all of the pictures that Blayne takes of us I look nasty with no makeup and gross hair, so these look so much better, even though I have a totally fake looking smile, but oh well!
Oh yeah, and Ava ALWAYS picks her nose, we're trying to get her not to, but she thinks it's pretty funny, whatever little turd!

It's a.....

GIRL!!!!!!

We're SOOOO excited!! I was totally convinced that it was a boy for whatever reason, but Blayne thought it was a girl, so he was right. Now he says that he is more in tuned with this baby than anybody, oh brother!! Now all we have to do is pick a name, which is WAY more difficult than it sounds for us, we have VERY different taste, it's ridiculous. You'll just have to wait and see what we come up with. Anyway, that's our news and we are super happy.
