This is the onesie that Blayne tie-died for her- I think it's super cute, and who cares if it makes her look like a boy- hahaha! Can ya tell Blayne's a duck fan?
There we go, some pink socks to show she's a girl!
Ava LOVES giving her kisses! She also says "Hey little guy" whenever we're holding her- it doesn't matter how many times we try to tell her she's a girl, she just says "no, it's a boy".
This is what it was like both times Ava came to the hospital, she just climbed all over me the whole time, I'll bet you can imagine how comfortable that was. It's ok though, that was the longest I had ever been away from her and I missed her like crazy!!! I almost cried the last day we were at the hospital waiting to be discharged because I missed her so much.
Ok, so here's the story. I was scheduled to be induced Friday morning (not because there was anything wrong, I just wanted to be). Blayne's parents got here Wednesday afternoon- thank goodness! That evening I started having regular contractions, they weren't horrible, but they were consistantly coming every 2 minutes, so I went to the hospital at about 7:30. Blayne left work and met us there. Well, on the way the contractions pretty much stopped, but we were already on the way so we went ahead and went. Needless to say, they sent me home at about 10:30, I was only dilated to about a 3 and after walking around the hospital for 45 minutes there was no change. I was SO embarassed I told Blayne that I was NOT going back until my induction. Well, I woke up at about 1:45 in the morning having REALLY bad contractions. I was trying SO hard to be silent since I wasn't sure it was the real thing and I didn't want to wake up Blayne since he had to work in the morning. After about 2 hours Blayne was awake (I wasn't totally successful at being silent- but considering the pain, I was still pretty quiet), so we went ahead and went. We were both worried that they were just going to send me home again, but when they checked at about 4ish- I was at a 6. So they moved me to my room and gave me the drugs- YAY!!!!! Man, I was HAPPY to have those!!! Well, until they wore off at the end, a little before it was time to start pushing- awesome- oh wait, that SUCKED!!!! I could feel EVERYTHING!!! After a couple pushes she was out at 8:53 Thursday morning- 7lbs. 4oz- 20 in. long. She is such an amazing baby!!! She just wants to sleep all the time- except for like an hour and a half at night when she gets a little fussy because all we want is for her to sleep, and she's not really interested. I thought it would be a LOT harder than this, I know I'm only a couple days in, but she's just great!!! Ava's been really good too, she loves her SO much!

Wow! Congrats! That is SO FUNNY that Ava thinks she's a girl! That's so cute Blayne made her onsie! He did a good job. What a good idea. Oh man, reading about your labor and everything, not that it was horrendous or anything, it just made me shudder a bit for what is to come. I'm glad she's being so good. Hopefully it just continues! Get on Amy's butt to blog something!
Congratulations guys. She is beautiful. I can't believe it has been 9 months already. Time flies! I can't believe the hair on her. How is KPMG and Cali? Are you guys ready to pack it up and move to Idaho and work with Scott? We miss you guys. Enjoy the little one.
She is a beautiful baby. Congratulations guys!
Oh my gosh, she looks just like Ava! What a cutie! And I love the onesie. It turned out really cute. What kind of drugs did you get that would wear off like that? I had an epidural with Olivia so the drugs lasted through the whole thing. With my first two I went drug-free though so I know what it feels like to "feel everything"! Yikes! Well, congrats, she is beautiful and I'm sure you are just LOVING her! :o)
Oh yeah, and what are you talking about? You look gorgeous in your pictures! :o)
Congratulations! Momma and baby are both BEAUTIFUL!!
