HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Our little Lady Bug, SO cute!!! You gotta love that face.
Very HAPPY Lady Bug!!

I'm sorry, but how adorable is her little butt- hahahaha!!!!

We were making funny faces, apparently Ava didn't think it was very fun.
This was at our church Halloween party, Ava had a ton of fun- she just ran around and danced and laughed, it was so cute!!!

I don't know if you can tell, but this guy was walking and Ava totally cut him off, an example of what she did ALL night and I just ran behind her apologizing. I wish we would have been able to stay longer but I had gotten sick again that night and Ava needed to go to bed :(

Pumpkin Patch & Exciting Stuff!!!

So we've been getting very stressy lately because it's jobhunting time for Blayne, and with the economy being so crappy people aren't doing as much hiring as usual. Well, Blayne is through with his first round interviews and has office visits with 3 firms so far- YAY!!! I actually dropped him off at the airport this morning- so I am a single parent for a couple of days- not so yay! I feel worse for Blayne though, I took him to the airport today at 11:30 am to go to Portland, he gets back on Thursday at 10:15 am, then goes straight to class for a quiz after an all night flight, goes back to the airport after class to go to Sacramento, then gets back here at like midnight on Halloween night. He's then home for the weekend with a ton of studying and stuff to do because he has a presentation on Monday morning, then goes back to the airport Monday afternoon to fly to Eugene, then get's back at like 10:15 Wednesday morning and goes straight to class. That's as far as we know so far, but if he gets more calls, which we're hoping he does, then he might have more trips- CRAZY!! Man, I'm tired just writing about it, poor guy. Sorry, that was probably really confusing. I am pretty jealous though, he gets to see family- I want to see family!!!! Only a little over a month until we get to go home for Christmas- EXCITING!!!!

Ava and I went to the pumpkin patch for a ward activity, we were both sick when we went, but desperately needed to get out of the house. We're finally getting better, but then what happens??? Hutcheson sisters will understand what I mean when I say that I got "poop-face"!!! Yep, that's right- a big, humongous cold sore right under my nose- SICK!!!! I seriously think it might be one of the biggest ones that I have EVER had and it hurts like crazy!!! Well, on a happier note- here are some cute pictures...

She's wearing my beanie, but I think it's really cute, and it actually doesn't fit her too bad, we got her a new one the other day that covers her little ears better.

They had a hay maze and in the middle of it was this area of loose hay and a slide. Her shoe came off in this, but luckily I saw it come off so it didn't get lost or anything.

They also had this thing, it was like a sandbox, but it was full of corn instead of sand, Ava played in that for quite a while and then SCREAMED when I took her to the car to go home. That was fun- hahaha!!! All in all, we had a good time, Ava really liked it. I wish we would have had a chance to go back with Blayne, but oh well, next year.

Well, Blayne just called from a layover in Chicago, he got a call from another firm in Portland, so he'll have another trip some time next week. Man this is going to be a stressful couple of weeks, but when it's over he'll hopefully have a job and a HUGE weight lifted off of our shoulders!!! I'm just excited for that time!!

More Ava

So I know that I always just have a bunch of pictures of Ava, I hope people don't get sick of it, but she's all we take pictures of, I'm sure you can see why. This is her looking at all of our DVD's after she takes them off of the racks. The other day she found her Little Einsteins movie and cried because she wanted to watch it so bad. We had to hide it from her to get her to forget- what are we doing to her???? She actually doesn't really watch it that much, not even once a week, but she LOVES it!!

She also loves her stuffed animals, she walks around hugging them and making sweet little noises. Sometimes she even puts them in her rocking chair and rocks them, it's adorable.

Mommy daughter moment...

Doesn't she look old in this picture?? I put her hair in pigtails a couple of weeks ago, so cute.

I don't think I really need to say anything about this picture, it pretty much speaks for itself- hahaha!!!
So she has recently started climbing into her toybox- it totally cracks me up. The first time she really liked it and was laughing, until she wanted out then she got mad. The next couple times she got mad pretty instantly when she couldn't get out. She hasn't gotten in for a couple days, but I love it.

It's pretty impossible to do the dishes when Ava is awake (unless Little Einsteins is in- hahaha) because as you can see she loves the dishwasher. She is constantly coming and trying to climb on it, or pulling the rack in and out. It sometimes turns into a game of keeping her away if Blayne and I are both home.
We have some really cute stuff on video, but I'm not sure how to post it, once we get it figured out I'll post some. She says so many words and we actually got her to say some on camera- miracle!! She's also been good about saying them on the phone when we call home, so that's been fun having everybody able to hear her. I'm SO excited to be going home for Christmas, I miss everybody SO much- plus we just got our tickets changed, so we'll be there almost 3 weeks instead of 2- YAY!!!!!!!

Tagged...

OK, well, this is hard because I don't know that there are 7 interesting things about me...

1. I have been to Rockefeller Center on Christmas Eve, and I got to see the huge tree lit up- let me just tell you, New York is AMAZING at Christmas, I haven't been there any other time and I'm sure that it is wonderful all the time, but it is awesome at Christmas.

2. I was only in labor with Ava for 2 1/2 hours- I know, I'm totally lucky!!!

3. Until my senior year of high school I had never been on a plane and even though I was 18 I'm pretty sure I cried. Our cheerleading squad was going to Disneyland and they had to switch the girl that was next to me so that I could sit next someone's mom that was really nice and comforting. It was totally embarassing!

4. As you can tell from my last experience I'm always the woosie of the group, except once- I went on an office rafting trip, let's see... it was like 2 years ago and I "rode the bull" which means that I rode on the very front of the raft and just held on to the rope that goes around rafts and my feet were just dangling, and it was during really scary parts too- it was AWESOME and I was SO glad that I did it.

5. I HATE HATE HATE cereal and it's extremely hard for me to even be in the same room as someone else that is eating it, other than Blayne, he doesn't bother me. If I am in the room and it would be really weird if I left, I try to just look the other way and ignore the cereal eating that is going on around me.

6. I eat things in even numbers, I'm a little obsessive compulsive about it. If it's only one thing, like a piece of chicken or something, I take an even amount of bites. I know- I'm a FREAK!!! That is SO embarassing to tell.

7. I have a fear of bleachers, kind of always have, it goes along with me being afraid of heights, but when I was a freshman cheerleader I fell threw the bleachers at a game in front of a bunch of senior guys that I thought were totally HOT- I about died, but to make matters worse I got a huge gash in my leg and still have a gigatntic scar... stupid cheap metal bleachers!!!

I'm not sure how this turned into me telling about some of my most embarassing moments, but that was pretty much all I could think of. It's hard for me to think of people to tag, but here it goes... I tag Denise, and her wonderful sisters and sister-in-law...Andrea, Nicole, Danielle, and Bonnie and then Christy and Amanda.

Fun Stuff...

Labor Day weekend we got to go to the Greek Festival. It was fun to get out and the food was REALLY good, and not that expensive. As you can see, Ava was asleep, she slept through most of it and it was super hot outside that day so we didn't stay too long.

They had some Greek dancers and singers, it was really cool.

We also got Ava her new front-facing carseat- what a BIG girl!!!
She can now get into her rocking chair by herself, I love how she's just sitting there reading.
So, I'm a TERRIBLE mom- this was on her real first birthday, and this is the best picture I got- what is wrong with me??!! We had some of our new friends from church over and all the kids played really well. It was pretty layed back and fun.

We really like going to the park, sometimes she clings to me, but then sometimes she starts playing with the other kids, she's defintitely getting better. She loves swinging, she can do that for a really long time.We switched her from a bottle to a cup, and she drinks it pretty good, she still gets a bottle right before bed, but we're hopefully taking that away soon before it gets too hard. I just can't believe what a big girl she is!!!!Ava does this whenever she comes in our room, I don't know how many times we have to pick up all of this stuff. Thank goodness we don't have them out in the living room, I would go CRAZY!!!! We already had to move the book shelf into our room, I couldn't take it anymore, our books were getting all ripped up- NOT good!!

This was right after she woke up one morning with the little elephant that she sleeps with all the time. She started holding onto it when I get her out of her crib, I just thought this was really sweet. We went and got her one of those cheap balls from Target and she plays with it all the time. She throws it and chases it all around and, as you can see, loves every minute of it.

She definitely gets this from her daddy- hahahaha!!!! I was feeding her dinner one night and all the sudden she just started putting her finger up her nose, and then right into her mouth- SO gross- I know, but the more I told her to stop, the more she did it, so I had to just start ignoring it and then she stopped (I'm sure taking a picture of her didn't help her to stop right away either). But I don't think she has done it since, but I thought it was kind of funny.

No Power...

Well, we now know that we can kinda survive without power, as long as we can still make it to the store- thank goodness that some of the stores were open. After remnants from Hurricane Ike hit Columbus we had NO power!!!! At first it was fine, we thought it would be right back on, SO not the case. We called the power company on Sunday and got a recording that said to plan for 7 DAYS!!!!! I started to freak out. Blayne went to the store and got a car charger for our phones and some powdered milk for Ava, which she refused to drink. Luckily she still eats a lot of baby food since she is a slow teether, so she didn't notice that much of a difference, since she goes to bed about when it starts to get dark anyway. After staring at the wall all night that first night, Blayne got out our games the next day, so we had a nice game of candlelight Scrabble. But man, does this ever make you realize what kind of things you need to keep in your food storage, if we couldn't have gone to the store, I honestly don't know what we would have done. After only 2 1/2 days of peanut butter and honey sandwiches and fast food, and 1 cold shower the power returned, just in time for the disappointing final episode of Big Brother- Dan- come on!!!! Anyway, I don't think I have ever been as excited as when the lights came on while I was reading next to a candle, I started jumping up and down, trying to be quiet, since Ava was sleeping, but man, was I relieved!!! The whole time I just had to keep reminding myself that it DEFINITELY could have been worse, and thank goodness it wasn't!

Cute Dress & New Bike

So, last Sunday we were all taking a nap, and when Ava woke up Blayne was nice enough to go get her so that I could keep sleeping. Too bad once she saw me she wanted to lay on me, as you can see, I was NOT ready to be awake, but she was so cute. What could I do??
This is her dress that she got from Uncle Brad last year for Christmas, we LOVE it and are SO glad that it fits her now. Isn't it cute??!!
Like mommy- like daughter.
I was getting started with dinner and someone was playing peek-a-boo under my skirt- what a weirdo!!! She actually says peek-a-boo now, it's really cute. She's starting to talk a little, so it's really fun. She walks and runs EVERYWHERE- it's so funny how much she has changed in just the month that we have been here. She just had her 1st birthday yesterday- YAY!!!! I'll try to post pictures from that soon. I can't believe she's a year old!!!!

Blayne and I are trying to start working out. We have a couple of workout videos, and we just got this for really cheap (since Blayne doesn't really like doing the videos- hahaha!). It's good as long as the TV is on, otherwise it gets boring, but we like it.
